Nirgandh in collaboration with Aasra has installed its systems at 2 different schools in Dehradun district. These schools are for under privileged children and one of them is a day boarding. The children have also used the output water for horticulture and grown some plants and vines of grapes.
Nirgandh has installed bio-digester toilets at two schools. A total of 500+ students between these two schools would have access to safe sanitation. There are existing sanitation facilities in both schools. However when the facilities had to be increased because the number of students was increasing, the decision makers chose to use the new and sustainable technology for safe sanitation.
Some of the older educational institutions do not have the basic sanitation facility or the existing facility is dilapidated. This 110 year old school in Ajmer has moved to the new technology to ensure that there is sustainable and safe sanitation.
Nirgandh has installed this toilet complex at the Government Senior Secondary School in Ghasera, Haryana. This sanitation complex ensures that the students and people using the library have access to a sanitation facility.
